João Francisco Coelho is a lawyer at Instituto Alana (Alana Institute) specialized in children’s digital rights and strategic litigation, graduated from the Law School of USP (University of São Paulo). From this position, he worked on the launch of a Brazilian version of General Comment No. 25, from the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, and on various judicial and administrative cases relevant to the protection of children’s and adolescents’ rights in the digital environment in Brazil. Among them, more recently, are investigations into data processing by social media companies, within the scope of the ANPD, and investigations into the targeting of gambling advertisements by child digital influencers on social media.
