I’m a PhD Candidate in Law, Science, and Technology at the University of Bologna studying the human rights and ethical impacts of XR tech and the metaverse. Other areas of research interest include AI ethics and governance, especially using a comparative lens. I spent time in industry as a software engineer after obtaining my MSc in Social Science of the Internet at Oxford as a Donovan-Moody Fellow and Shirley Scholar, where I wrote my thesis on AI governance in the US and China. I graduated from Williams College magna cum laude in 2020 as a Clare Boothe Luce Scholar and Class of 1960s Scholar as a Computer Science and Chinese double major with a Science & Technology Studies concentration. I was a Phi Beta Kappa junior year inductee and studied abroad at Oxford University as part of the selective Williams-Exeter Programme at Oxford.
