Damien Weldon is the founder & president of The Molybdenum, a data science innovation hub for financial services, where his focus areas include AI/machine learning, quantum computing and XR (AR/VR) for risk management and asset valuation. A seasoned practitioner, he has over 20 years’ experience in quantitative solution development, and is currently an executive, strategic advisor and consultant at several fintechs. Before founding The Molybdenum, he was managing director, business development at Vichara Technologies. Prior to Vichara, he held a number of senior business development, product management and data science roles at CoreLogic. Damien has a bachelor’s in applied sciences in physics and mathematics from the University of Dublin and a master’s of science in mathematical modeling and numerical analysis from the University of Oxford.
