The ways in which theory and practice converge fascinate me. This is why my studies and my work have been and are always creating a bridge between both. Complementing my studies in philosophy (BA in PUCP Lima, MA in FU Berlin, and PhD in UNAM Mexico), theaterology and musicology, in which my subjects are perception, art theory and rhetorics, I gained experience in different practical art forms (film, photo, music, as well as performing arts and their technical background). I am currently researching the technical and artistic matters of media, specifically new media & XR, as well as the forms and expressions of digital culture.
I also try to generate that bridge in my work as a university professor, focusing on interdisciplinary and multi-perspective approaches; for example, rhetorical structuring as a way to join emotional experience with medial (written, visual, etc.) discourse.
This is fostered by the multiplicity of working areas: I don’t believe in constraining creativity or curiosity.
