Rachel has 14 years of experience in strategy planning, consumer brand marketing and innovation in the entertainment, culture and media industries.
She led marketing, research, programming, and audience development for The Toronto International Film Festival, The Canadian Film Centre, Meta, Rdio and Samsung. She has launched dozens of films, a music streaming service, interactive narrative projects and new products to market.
She is a published writer; sharing her thoughts on virtual reality, designing the future through play, and the world of film and music. She has sat on numerous innovation juries, such as the Canada Media Fund Innovation that provides 30 million dollars in funding to leading-edge interactive digital media content and software applications.
She has a Masters of Design in Strategic Foresight and Innovation from OCAD and has consulted for the Canadian Radio and Telecommunications commission; providing intelligence about the digital media business landscape. She is currently the Chief Strategy Officer for Forward, an innovation studio specializing in emerging technology and entertainment.
